India - Tea farmer donates seedlings to Salesian Institute in Siliguri
Siliguri, India - April 2021 - Rajah Banerjee, the famous grower of Darjeeling tea, who developed his own fine variety called "Rimpocha", donated tea plants to the Rector of the Salesian Institute in Siliguri, Fr George Thadathil, SDB. “In the near future, we hope to jointly create a Tea Academy at the institute,” said Mr Banerjee, who with his staff will teach the school's gardeners how to grow and prepare Rimpocha tea. Fr Thadathil then stated that a memorandum of understanding is being drawn up between the Salesian school and "Rimpocha Tea".
