(ANS – Lusaka) – Salesian sisters in Thorn Park, Lusaka, Zambia, had the funding to start construction on a new school for orphans and vulnerable youth thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The Garden Open Community School will educate youth ages 6-18.
(ANS – Piura) – How do we promote youth leadership in the environmental field? How do we support ecological entrepreneurship by students? How do we promote the attitude necessary for young people, future professionals in technical sectors, to adopt more environmentally friendly work practices? These are just some of the questions addressed during the second regional meeting of the "Green Consciousness, Resilience and Sustainability in the Andean Region" programme, which took place from 18 to 22 November in the city of Piura, Peru.
(ANS – Dimapur) – The Global Coordinator of Salesian Higher Education International Rome and the former Principal of Salesian College Siliguri and Sonada, Father Dr. George Thadathil, SDB, visited the Salesian Province of Dimapur from November 21 to 27. His visit was marked by workshops and faculty development programs conducted across several regional colleges, fostering innovative research, enhancing teaching methodologies, and promoting constitutional values.
