(ANS – Capriglio) – A Mass in memory of the Venerable Margaret Occhiena, St John Bosco's mother, was celebrated on the anniversary of her entry into eternal life, Saturday, 25 November, at 8:30 pm, at the parish of San Martino in Capriglio. Margaret Occhiena, generally known as Mamma Margaret, died in Turin at the Oratory in Valdocco on 25 November 1856, and was declared Venerable on 23 October 2006.

(ANS – Arusha) – Don Bosco Kilimanjaro International Institute for Telecommunications, Electronics and Computers (Don Bosco KIITEC), located in Arusha, Tanzania, has a new hostel for 300 students thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The construction for the hostel had been started thanks to a local benefactor, and the donor funding from Salesian Missions was utilized to build the upper floors and finish the building, including plumbing, tiling, doors, electrical work, and painting. The building is currently being used for 150 students.

(ANS – Germany) – The Salesian Youth Movement in Europe and the Middle East held its annual meeting, the General Assembly, last weekend. From Friday, November 22nd to Sunday, November 24th, in Benediktbeuern, Germany. 75 people from all over Europe had the opportunity to get to know each other, meet and share their personal experiences and daily activities within the SYM.

(ANS – Nairobi) – From November 11th to 21st, 2024, Don Bosco Tech Africa, in collaboration with Don Bosco Mondo, hosted the Global Programme II (GP2) kick-off workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. The event, themed "Increased Opportunities for Decent Work and Improved Living Standards for Young People in Sub-Saharan Africa by Improving the Quality and Relevance of Vocational Training Programs," brought together key stakeholders to chart a transformative path for vocational training in the region. Participants included Provincials, Provincial Economers, and P-TVETs from 10 provinces, covering ANN, ANG, AFC, ACC, AGL, ATE, AON, ZMB, MDG, AFE and AFE-Sudan delegation, alongside the Don Bosco Mondo and Don Bosco Tech Africa office teams.
