(ANS - Piura) - "I have often asked myself: what does it mean to love?" says Sylwia Grzęda, a Polish volunteer, who worked for a year in Piura, Peru. "The world is abusing the word love, without thinking. When I went to Piura, someone gave me a card with a sentence from the book of Hosea: 'I will take you into the desert and speak to your heart'. In fact I went then into the desert of Piura, where the Salesians have built a great work for the poor. It is here that I learned the meaning of the word love."

(ANS - Rome) – Each year, as an aid for Salesian Mission Day, the Mission Sector, in collaboration with Missioni Don Bosco in Turin, prepares a video on the specific theme of Salesian Mission Day. This year this video presents the Salesians in Oceania.

(ANS - Zway) - "I have had a wonderful experience ... I have seen once again that, as the Salesian Family, we were born to be close, closer and closer, to the poor." This was the enthusiastic comment of Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, on his visit to Ethiopia.

(ANS - Guadalajara) - After 11 hours of travel, Pope Francis arrived in Mexico. Wherever he went in the country, a multitude of faithful sang: "Francisco, hermano, ya eres mexicano" (Francis, brother, you are a Mexican). And why shouldn’t they?  After all, his heart is "Guadalupan".
