01 - Rome, Italy - July 2018 – Ending on July 26, with the Eucharistic celebration, was the summer session of the General Council, during which ten Provincials, ten Provincial Vicars, 16 Provincial Economers, a Delegate, 123 Directors and 6 Masters of Novices were appointed.
02 - Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - July 2018 - From 29 July to 7 August, 650 young people from Spain and Portugal took part in the "Campobosco 2018", a pilgrimageorganized by the Salesian Youth Movement to the places where the Salesian charism of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello was born and spread.
03 - Rome, Italy - July 2018 - On 11 July, a joint meeting took place between the General Councils of the Salesians (SDB) and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) at the latter's Generalate. Leading the work was the reflection on the next Synod of Bishops, "Youth, faith and vocational discernment", by Fr Rossano Sala, SDB, Special Secretary for this Synod.
04 - La Ceja, Colombia - July 2018 - On 30 and 31 July, in the Salesian novitiate "Sagrado Corazón" of La Ceja, the Provincials Fr Prado (Central America), Fr Méndez (Venezuela), Fr Cayo (Perú), Fr Sánchez (Bolivia), Fr Morales (Colombia-Bogotá) and Fr Valencia (Colombia-Medellín) met with Fr Ploch, Councilor for the Interamerica Region, and Fr Pérez, Provincial Delegate for Formation of COM, to realize the Curatorium.
05 - Mumbai, India - July 2018 - To celebrate the 25th anniversary of "BOSCOM", the Social Communication body of Salesians in the South Asia region, the "Bosco Information Service" (BIS) organized a two-day seminar on "fake news and peace journalism". The event, which took place on July 18-19, was attended by about 80 people including journalists, media workers and young people from "Don Bosco College" in Kurla.
06 - Salta, Argentina - July 2018 - On July 2, 40 young people of the "Ángel Zerda" oratory in Salta went on a mission to the villages of Morillo and Los Biancos, animating hundreds of children and teenagers with various activities, meeting families, helping repaint the chapel of Morillo, animating Masses and moments of prayer. Furthermore, together with the local group "La Società dell'Allegria", established a mobile oratory in the localities of El Chañar and La Represa.
07 - Dacudao, Philippines - July 2018 - The young poor and their families who attend the Salesian parish "Mary Help of Christians" of Dacudao, Province of the South Philippines, have access to clean and safe water thanks to an initiative supported by the Salesian Mission Office of New Rochelle. The Salesian community also takes care of over 1,400 families.
08 - Mekanissa, Ethiopia - July 2018 - From 11 to 13 July, over 300 young people took part in the gathering of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of the Africa Ethiopian Vice Province (AET) at the "Bosco Children" center. Also present were the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians with their young.
