01 - Vatican City, Vatican - February 2017 - On 21 and 22 February the International Forum "Migration and Peace", was held with the participation of Pope Francis. The forum was attended by two Salesians, Fr Martín Lasarte and Fr George Menamparampil, from the Missions Sector. They presented the approach and the work of the Salesians with migrants.
02 - San Juan, Puerto Rico - February 2017 - Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, visited the Salesians of Puerto Rico on 2 and 3 February and met many young people and members of the Salesian Family.
03 - Havana, Cuba - February 2017 - On the occasion of the centenary celebration of the Salesian presence in Cuba, 3 to 5 February, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, visited all five of the Salesian Houses on the island and met with members of the Salesian Family.
04 - Thai Binh, Vietnam – 26 February 2017 - As part of his visit to Vietnam, the Rector Major, Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, met the young people from the Salesian centre for children with disabilities.
05 - Naples, Italy - February 2017 - On 17 February, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, presided at a day devoted to the opening of the "Peace Museum", entitled "Don Bosco: the young apostles of young people." This is a unique space of its kind devoted entirely to the "Saint of Youth" and "Salesians in the world".
06 - Isiolo, Kenya - February 2017 - A drought in Kenya has affected much of the country to the point that is has become a national calamity. The Don Bosco Mission Korr is committed to bringing aid to the people of Marsabit County, one of the most affected areas, where it has not rained for over a year.
07 - Catania, Italy - February 2017 - The Salesians of San Gregorio in Catania, started the "Rainbow foreign project: all the colours of the invisible". It is a project to take care of foreign children in accordance with the canons of the preventive system. Among the participants there is Matthew, a disabled boy of nine years, who has become a key animator for the entire community.
08 - Ljubljana, Slovenia - February 5, 2017 - The eleventh meeting of the Youth Choirs of Slovenian parishes was held in honour of Don Bosco at the house of Rakovnik in Ljubljana. Fifty-seven choirs from all over the country took part as well as the choir from the Salesian parish of Mužlja in Serbia. The combined choir composed of 1000 singers and directed by Polona Stegu, was accompanied by a 45-piece orchestra.
