01. Turin, Italy – January 2024 – The 2024 Salesian Family Spirituality Days were celebrated from 18 to 21 January, bringing about 400 members of the SF to Valdocco in person, along with 4,000 other people connected online. The event was chaired by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major.
02. Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy – January 2024 – 11 Salesian museums took part in the first International Meeting of Salesian Missionary Museums at a global level. The event, which took place from 18 to 22 January, was attended by 24 Salesians and lay people from museums located mostly in Latin America and Italy, in addition to one from India and one from Spain.
03. Recife, Brazil – January 2024 – Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, visited the Salesian Province of Recife From 30 January to 4 February 4. Numerous events, such as the Feast of Don Bosco, the dedication of the Church of the Bom Jesus in Juazeiro do Norte, the assignment of the posthumous qualification of Salesian Cooperator to the Servant of God Father Cícero Romão Batista and the Provincial Feastday.
04. Kenitra, Morocco - January 2024 - The General Councillor for the Missions, Fr Alfred Maravilla, was in Kenitra from 12 to 15 January, for a fraternal visit to the Salesian community. Accompanying him was Fr Domenico Paternò, Superior of the North Africa Special Circumscription (CNA), dedicated to Saint Augustine.
05. Bratislava, Slovakia – January 2024 – In 2024 the Salesians celebrate the centenary of their arrival and the beginning of their presence in Slovakia. The Salesian community has planned for the"Year of Gratitude", a series of events that began on 8 January the liturgical memorial of Slovak Salesian Blessed Fr Titus Zeman.
06. Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo – January 2024 – The new St Joseph’s novitiate building in Brazzaville, belonging to the Africa Congo Congo (ACC) Vice-province, in the St John Bosco community, Massengo, was opened on 19 January. The building, financed thanks to the generosity of the Rector Major, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, will allow a better formation of novices.
07. Kep, Cambodia – January 2024 - The Social Communication team of the Salesian Delegation of Cambodia organised the "Voices" program at Kep, on 27-28 January, involving representatives of eight indigenous groups. The event was opened by Fr Harris Pakkam, of the Social Communication Sector at Salesian Headquarters and Editorial Director of the ANS Agency.
08. Montero, Bolivia – January 31, 2024 – On the occasion of the liturgical memorial of St John Bosco, the Salesians of Bolivia have launched the "Città Educativa Muyurina" project: a program that plans to involve about 10,000 students who will receive education, teaching and integral formation from kindergarten to university.
