01. Turin, Italy - September 2023 - On 24th September, the Rector Major presided over the Eucharistic celebration in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin. During the mass he handed over Missionary Crosses to the 24 Salesians of the 154th Salesian Missionary Expedition. Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Mother General of the FMA, handed over the Missionary Crosses to the 13 departing FMA of the 146th FMA Missionary Expedition.
02. Nazareth, Israel - September 2023 - On 2nd and 3rd September 2023, the Salesian Family of the Holy Land celebrated the Centenary of the Consecration of the Basilica of the Adolescent Jesus in Nazareth. The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime presided over the celebrations, accompanied by, the Regional Councillor of the Mediterranean region, Fr Juan Carlos Pèrez Godoy, and the Provincial of the Middle East, Fr Alejandro León.
03. Turin, Italy - September 2023 - The 3rd Seminar for the promotion of the Causes of Canonization and Beatification of the Salesian Family (SF) was held in Valdocco from 6th to 10th September. It was coordinated by the Postulator General for the Causes of the Saints of the SF, Fr Pierluigi Cameroni. More than 80 people coming from about fifteen countries and representing as many groups of the SF took part in it, in addition to the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime.
04. Lahore, Pakistan - September 2023 - From 1st to 3rd September, Br Jean Paul Muller, the Economoer General of the Salesian Congregation, visited the Salesian presences in Pakistan. They were intense days, during which Br Jean Paul Muller met the Salesians, the members of the Salesian Family and young people and made them feel the closeness of the Congregation and the vitality of Don Bosco's charism.
05. Hua Hin, Thailand - September 2023 - The Social Communication Sector's "Voices" project was inaugurated in Thailand on 19 September, in Hua Hin, in the presence of Social Communication Delegates and youth representatives from the entire East Asia-Oceania Region. On the occasion, young people shared their experiences on digital and substance addiction, violence, crime and oppression, climate change, environment, and indigenous peoples.
06. Guadalajara, Mexico - September 2023 - On 1st September, Fr Gabriel Romero (the Councillor for the South Cone Region) began the Extraordinary Visitation of the Salesian Province of Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG). The Visit began with a concelebrated Eucharist together with Fr Filiberto González, MEG Provincial, and members of the Provincial Council.
07. Lwena, Angola - September 2023 - The episcopal ordination of Bishop Rt. Rev. Martín Lasarte, SDB, Bishop of the Diocese of Lwena, was celebrated on 3 September. The event was attended by 17 concelebrating bishops, 80 priests, 500 members of the choir and over 5,000 faithful, including numerous governmental, civil, religious and local authorities.
08. Ljubljana, Slovenia - September 2023 - The Councillor for the Central and Northern European Region, Fr Roman Jachimowicz, began the Extraordinary Visitation to the Salesian Province of Slovenia (SLO) on 11 September. The first meeting took place in the Provincial House where Fr Jachimowicz met Fr Marko Košnik, Provincial of SLO, and his Council, with all the Provincial Delegates and the Rectors of the Salesian communities.
