01. Melbourne, Australia - April 2023 - On April 26, at the Salesian Institute in Chadstone, Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, celebrated the centenary of Salesian presence in the country with Salesians and youth from the Province of Australia (AUL). Fr. Joseph Thinh Phouc, Councilor for the East Asia-Oceania Region, Fr. Will Matthews, AUL Provincial, and student leaders from Salesian schools throughout the country accompanied the event.
02. Turin, Italy - April 2023 - Organized by the Sector for Social Communication, the International Meeting of Salesian Bulletin Managers was held in Valdocco from April 22 to 25. With about 80 participants from all over the world, the event was attended by, among others, Fr. Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr. Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication, Br. Jean Paul Muller, SDB, General Economer, and Fr. Giuseppe Costa, Co-Spokesperson of the Congregation.
03. Ljubljana, Slovenia - April 2023 - From April 15 to 18, Fr. Alfred Maravilla, General Councilor for Missions, accompanied by Fr. Pavel Ženíšek of the Missions Sector, was on an animation visit to the Province of Slovenia (SLO). The visit’s main aim was to evaluate the Europe Project in the Province, which also includes Montenegro and Serbia, two years after the arrival of the first missionaries.
04. Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - April 2023 - From April 14-20, the Formation Course for Delegates for the Salesian Family of English-speaking Provinces and Vice-Provinces was held with 31 participants from all over the world.
05. Jerusalem - April 2023 - The Spiritual Exercises in the Holy Land of the Superiors of the 10 Salesian Provinces of the Mediterranean Region concluded on April 4. The Spiritual Exercises were led by Fr. Marco Rossetti, Professor of Theology at the Faculty of Theology of Turin-Crocetta, and were also attended by the Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr. Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy.
06. Makati City, Philippines - April 2023 - The "Don Bosco Makati" Center celebrated Vocations Month on the theme "Send Me," with vocation promotion activities led by the Institute's pastoral coordinators, who involved many young people showing an interest in Salesian life.
07. Santiago de Chile, Chile - April 2023 - From April 4-8, Fr. Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the America Southern Cone Region, as part of the Extraordinary Visit to the Salesian Province of Chile (CIL), visited the Salesian International Theological Studentate based in Lo Cañas, a formation community composed of students from Chile, Ecuador, and Peru.
08. Mahajanga, Madagascar - April 2023 - As part of the Extraordinary Visit to the Vice-Province "Mary Immaculate" of Madagascar and Mauritius (MDG), the Regional Councilor for Africa-Madagascar, Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, after three days spent in the Salesian work in Ijely, left for the western part of the large Island, in the coastal city of Mahajanga, to visit the Salesian work in Antanimasaja.
