01- Turin, Italy - October 2020 - The Casa Don Bosco House Museum was inaugurated in Valdocco with three days of events. The opening to the public took place on 4 October with the cutting of the ribbon by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, flanked by his predecessor, Fr Pascual Chávez, and Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
02 - Gambella, Ethiopia - October 2020 - The official installation of the new Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Gambella, Msgr. Roberto Bergamaschi, SDB. To welcome him at the airport, numerous prominent figures, including: Card. Berhane Yesus, archbishop of Addis Ababa; Msgr. Teshome Fikre, Secretary General of the Ethiopian Episcopal Conference, and Fr Hailemariam Medhin SDB, Superior of the "Africa-Ethiopia" Vice Province.
03 - Turin, Italy - September 2020 - "Dream and make others dream" was the motto of the XXX Marian Day of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) held in Turin on Sunday 20 September with about 400 participants. The day marked the handover of the animation of the Association from Fr Pierluigi Cameroni to Fr Alejandro Guevara.
04 - Rome, Italy - October 2020 - On 15 October UPS Grand Chancellor and Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, in the presence of the UPS Rector Magnificent, Fr Mauro Mantovani, and numerous other authorities, inaugurated the new academic year of the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS). The event, on the theme "Shared and convergent research", concluded the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the UPS' founding.
05 - Les Abymes, Guadeloupe - September 2020 - On 20 September, with the inauguration ceremony of the Salesian Fr Christian Tshala as the new parish priest of the church of "St Luke", the "first Salesian presence" in Guadeloupe, belonging to the “France-South Belgium” Province (FRB). To help Fr Tshala are Fr Pierre Gernez, SDB, and Arthur Massiet du Biest, a layman, from the "Le Valdocco" association.
06 - Natal, Brazil - October 2020 - On 1 October the "Don Bosco Educational Center", in Gramoré, Natal, through the "Solidarity Bus" campaign, distributed 250 packages containing food, cleaning and hygiene products to the families of the center who, due to the pandemic, are in a situation of social vulnerability.
07 - Tonj, South Sudan - September 2020 - The Salesian organization "Don Bosco Mission" of Tonj, with the support of the Madrid Mission Office, and through the "Solidarity Vs COVID-19" network, distributed basic necessities and medicines to over 3,500 IDPs during these months marked by the pandemic.
08 - Kumgi, Papua New Guinea - September 2020 - From 7 to 12 September, with a full program of events, the "Don Bosco Simbu Technical College" (DBSTC) celebrated the 25th anniversary of the arrival of the first Salesian missionaries in the diocese, Simbu province.
