(ANS - Rome) - In the last two weeks of May and the first of June, delegates, consecrated persons and lay people from all the Provinces of the world participated in three formative sessions organized by the Youth Ministry Sector. This initiative was conceived in response to the need of the Provinces to form and share the pastoral and moral keys for the affective-sexual education of young people, thinking of educational criteria. The participation was very numerous and representative of the various realities: a total of about 580 people across three days.
(ANS - Santiago) - Representatives from different Provinces of the American continent participated in the accompanying meeting of the Salesian Bulletin in America, which was held in digital mode last Wednesday, June 2. The main objective of the meeting was to present the progress and actions carried out since the previous meeting, held in October 2020.
(ANS - Madrid) - Next Tuesday, 8 June, Salesian Fr Joshtrom Kureethadam, coordinator of the "Ecology and Creation" area of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development of the Holy See, and Fr José Miguel Núñez, Director of the National Center of Salesian Youth Ministry (CNSPJ) of Spain, will animate a free webinar on the response of the Church to the climate crisis. The event will be broadcast from 18:00 to 19:00 (UTC +2): in Spanish, on the YouTube channels of "Misiones Salesianas" and the CNSPJ and on the Facebook page of "Misiones Salesianas"; and in Italian on “ANSChannel”, the ANS YouTube channel.
(ANS - Lima) - On the occasion of the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians, last Monday, May 24, the ceremony for the recognition of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Lima as a Cultural Heritage Site of the Peruvian nation took place. The ceremony, held in the atrium of the temple, located in the Breña district, was attended by various civil and ecclesiastical authorities, including: Jorge Muñoz Wells, mayor of Lima; Leslie Carol Peña Urteaga, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Industries; Giancarlo Maria Curcio, ambassador of Italy to Peru; and Msgr. Juan José Salaverry Villarreal, auxiliary bishop of Lima.
