There are 21 Good Practices that the Salesian Youth Ministry's Dicastery identified at the end of a worldwide consultation meant to find the most significant experiences already at work in the Salesian Provinces in the field of Youth Ministry and Family, wherein ideas to be replicated elsewhere are offered.
Each Congress participant will be able to attend the presentation of 3 good practices, according to his or her preferences. As for the mini-courses, they shall be offering specific formation via four 90-minute lessons during the last four days of the Congress. Each participant will be given the opportunity to choose one of 8 mini-courses available, depending on their preferences and language skills.
There are two mini-courses in English: "Couples for Christ Covenanted Community: A Model of Youth Ministry within Family Ministry", led by Fr Francis Gustilo SDB, and "Dynamics of Parent - Early Adult Conflict in Family and Interventions", by Fr Paul Raj Amalraj SDB.
In Spanish, three mini-courses are available: "Educación de los hijos de la madrid de los padres", by Virginia Cagigal De Gregorio; "Las familias actuales: desafíos para on comprensión y acompañamiento, or Today's families: challenges for understanding and accompaniment", by Paulina Fernández Moreno; and "Transmitir la fé en familia, or Transmitting faith in the family", by Fr Álvaro Ginel Vielva SDB.
In Portuguese, Ronaldo Zacharias SDB will present the mini-course on "Os jovens and novas configuraçoes familiares: desafios ético-morais and educative-pedagogicos, or Young people and new family configurations: ethical-moral and educational-pedagogical challenges", while Fr Mario Oscar Llanos SDB guides the mini-course in Italian on "Guidance and Practice for the Salesian Family Pastoral."
Lastly, the mini-course on "Family Youth Ministry: A New Paradigm?", led by Fr Gustavo Cavagnari SDB shall be in three languages (English, Italian, Spanish) thanks to simultaneous translation.
