SPECIAL REPORTS

(ANS - Paris) - The atrocious murder of Professor Samuel Paty shook France and raised the question of secularism in the national debate once again. Today Fr Jean-Marie Petitclerc, a French Salesian priest and director of the “Don Bosco Action Social” network (DBAS), addresses the theme.

(ANS - Brasilia) - From its origins, the Salesian charism has set itself the objective of "forming good Christians and upright citizens". This implies the creation of processes that lead the person to act responsibly, critically and consistently in every situation. With the advent of digital culture, formation in digital citizenship is an immediate consequence for Salesian educational action.

(ANS – New Delhi) - Turn your gaze to the developed and growing cities of India and become aware of the No Where people of India - the people who built all these cities live in poverty and deprivation. They belong nowhere. Because they are Nowhere People.  As Salesians, we must find the courage to create spaces and allow new forms of hospitality, fraternity and solidarity.

(ANS - Rome) - The picture outlined by Caritas Italiana in its annual report on poverty and social exclusion, published last Saturday, October 17, on the occasion of the World Day to Fight Poverty, is a picture with many shadows and some light. Because the Covid-19 pandemic has hit a citizenry that has already been in difficulty for more than a decade and has brought people and households into a situation of need that until that moment were struggling: they are the "new poor". Positive notes, instead, come from the parallel growth of solidarity.
