Featured
Malaga, Spain - 1896 - The first street in the world to bear Don Bosco's name was the then Calle Refino in the city of Malaga. It was called simply "Don Bosco" because he had not yet been canonized. The news that a street would bear Don Bosco's name was shared in the Salesian Bulletin of April 1896. The initiative was by Doña Ventura Terrado, a resident of Malaga. This photograph captures the moment of the inauguration the street dedicated to Don Bosco, with the participation of the musical band of the Salesian oratory of "San Enrique," in 1896.
