(ANS – Cuiabá) – On the last day of engagements in the Saint Alphonsus Liguori Province, Friday, 15 March, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, offered advice and messages of faith and courage to the participants in the Salesian Missionary Symposium. The event was entitled "From dream to missionary reality in a time of synodality" and took place in the Fazenda Mato Grosso hotel in Cuiabá.
(ANS – Cuiabá) – On his penultimate day of visiting the Saint Alponsus Liguori Province of Campo Grande, Brazil (BCG), the Rector Major, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, met hundreds of young people from different schools in Cuiabá and visited several significant works in the city, Capital of the State of Mato Grosso.
(ANS – Rome) – During Lent, registration begins for the 2024 edition of the "Laudato Si 'Animators" formation to inspire and mobilise communities on a common path of ecological conversion. The Salesian Youth Ministry Sector, through its Office for Integral Ecology, is among the promoters of this formation course, which also includes some special innovations in Italy.
(ANS – Rome) – Re-reading educational proposals in the area of affectivity and sexuality is not an option but an urgency that cannot be postponed in light of the whirlwind transformations over recent decades, which have brought about new developments in society and culture, profoundly affected gender awareness, opened up new anthropological scenarios, and which have consequently changed the outlook on the world of relationships. This was discussed at the conference on "Youth and sexuality. Challenges, criteria, educational paths" organised by the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome from 1 to 3 March 2024.
(ANS – Rome) – In preparation for the 2024 Communication Conference, "Shaping Tomorrow", scheduled from 1 to 7 August 2024 at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome, the Congregation's Social Communication Sector offers some ideas for a fundamental step in today's communication practice: the development of a "communication strategy".
(ANS – Heverlee) – “Don Bosco Youth-Net ivzw” (DBYN), the European network of Salesian youth organisations, and its partners announce a new project for youth and the promotion of values such as intercultural and interreligious dialogue, inclusion, environmental protection and civic engagement - without forgetting spirituality and the recovery of ancient traditions and cultural elements common to the Old Continent. This is very much a Salesian project in that it focuses on young people, their energy and their ability to engage for a better world, and is entitled: "Young Pilgrims of Hope".
