Province of St James the Greater
Fr Á.F. Artime will arrive in Madrid on Thursday 28 April and on the same day he will meet with the Spanish press at the Provincial House.
For the nine-day visit (until 6 May), the Province has organized a series of events in the various houses. The Rector Major will devote 29 April to professional training centres and the family. The provincial feast day will be on 30 April in Atocha, Madrid. On the afternoon of the same day the Rector Major will attend a big gathering of young people of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM).
There will also be meetings with educators, divided by area, in Ourense, Logrono, Madrid and Valladolid-Estrecho. Young people being assisted in social services will gather on 6 May. Other Salesian centres to be visited will be La Coruna, where Don Á.F. Artime will inaugurate the celebrations for the centenary of the presence, and León, for a meeting with the Rectors of Burgos, Arevalo, Salamanca and Puertollano.
Province of Mary Help of Christians
The visit to the Province (7-13 May), will begin in Utrera, the Mother House of the Salesians in Spain, with the provincial feast day and the meeting of the Rectors. Two large meetings with young people will take place in Seville on 7th and in Barcelona, on 13th. There will be three meetings with the Salesian Family in Seville, Alicante and Barcelona.
Among the many stages of the visit - Montilla, Antequera, Granada, Cabezo de Torres, etc. particular mention should be made of the meetings in Córdoba on 8th and in Valencia on 11th with young people hosted in family homes and residences, in addition to the houses of formation and the elderly Salesians.
