In a letter sent to colleagues, students and friends of the UPS, the newly-appointed Dean recalled the recent invitation by Pope Francis to "make the school an educating community, wherein teachers and students are not connected only by an educational plan, but by a program of life and experience, able to educate to mutual reciprocity between different generations." To this regard, he cited three essential criteria: identity, consistent with the values of the university; quality, as a safe beacon to illuminate study initiatives; and the goal of the common good.
Prof Pasqualetti succeeds Prof Fr Peter Andrew Gonsalves, SDB, Professor Emeritus of Communication and Education, who will continue to teach at the SC Faculty.
