The community has nine Salesians, one Brother and eight Priests. The Rector is Fr Augustin Chan. They have care of three parishes - K'Long, K'Ren and Dinh An, and a Salesian Retreat House (capacity 70+ individual rooms, up to 300 for groups). They also run a workshop for the production and marketing of handicrafts by the ethnic group.
The Salesians have been close to the local people for the past 42 years and have learned a lot from the simple, nature-centred lifestyle of the K'Ho people. They celebrate the liturgy in their language, provide accommodation for youth in a few boarding hostels and empower them to be future servant leaders of their people.
The K'Ho ethnic minority people are among the 54 indigenous groups present in Vietnam, especially in the Central Highland region. The majority of the 170,000 ethnic people are animists or Christians.
At present, there are three professed K'Ho Salesians of Don Bosco.
