In his Inaugural Conference he stressed the need of studying theology as we need to give effective testimony about Christ to others especially in a digital world. He also spoke about the challenges of evangelization through digital media. Emotional, Cognitive and affective sides of the social media were elaborated by him.
During the days of visitation, he met the community members individually in order to assess and evaluate the life of the community. On 22 October (Tuesday) he also had the chance of meeting all the students of the college – both inmates and the day scholars – and spoke to them about the need of studying theology seriously to meet the present-day challenges. On 23 October (Wednesday) he gave half an hour of conference to the students of theology who reside in the community. On 25 October (Friday) he met the House Council of KJC at 5.30 PM and gave the Concluding Conference to the entire community at 7.00 PM.
On 26 October (Saturday) Fr. Gildásio celebrated the concluding Solemn Eucharist along with the community members. In the homily he pointed out the role of Mary as an effective communicator, especially during the events of the Wedding at Cana, at the foot of the Cross and in the Upper Room with the Disciples. During the days of his stay in KJC, Fr. Gildásio celebrated the daily Eucharist in the community and gave thought provoking Good Night talks.
During the days of the visitation Fr. Gildásio also had chance of visiting the neighbouring religious communities where the Salesians render spiritual care and celebrated the Holy Eucharist with them. He also visited the neighbouring Salesian communities like Visvadeep, Don Bosco College, TC Palya and Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Lourdu Nagara and spent quality time with the confreres.
On 26 October (Saturday) Fr. Gildásio concluded the visitation and left for Visvadeep Community after the breakfast. The Community of KJC is grateful to Fr. Gildásio for his sacrifice of his time and effort to make the visitation an effective and fruitful one.
