(ANS – Esmeraldas) – In a world where social challenges become increasingly complex, creativity emerges as a powerful source of innovation to transform society. In this context, it is essential that young people are actively involved in various areas of action. A clear example of this is the recent participation of the Research Club for Scientific Writing (CIRC) at the María Auxiliadora Fiscomisional Educational Unit (UEFMA) in the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival with a documentary entitled: "Youth and Climate Change".

Through this production, the transformative impact that Salesian education generates in Esmeraldas' youth in their commitment to caring for the environment was highlighted. Initiatives like these not only allow young people to be heard, but also to become active agents of a society that demands new ideas. Youth participation in actions to bring about change is very important.

At present, young people not only witness social problems, but have become shareholders in innovative solutions; a desire that is shared by an entire generation of change agents.

The documentary is a clear example of how, with creativity and passion, projects can be created that, in addition to exposing various perspectives, become a source of inspiration for others to take action and get involved in the search for solutions to emerging problems. At a time when technological innovations are at our fingertips, it is essential to take advantage of them strategically to generate a positive and tangible impact in our communities, firmly believing that a simple action can trigger profound changes.

The experience of participating in the making of the documentary has been a source of motivation, demonstrating that one can make a difference. This project is a living testimony to the influence of emerging generations in the real world. To young people, I make a call: the world expects our ideas, motivation and impulse. It is crucial that we develop as protagonists of change, starting by transforming ourselves, to influence others in a positive way.

The documentary produced by the young people from CIRC was among the 10 winners of the Interamerica Region, standing out among the works sent by young people from Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, the United States, among others.

This recognition is a sample of the talent of the Esmeraldas youth, which stood out among more than 1,200 participants from 110 countries who sent their short films on the care of our common home and preservation of the environment.
