The special celebrations at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians started several days ago in this Marian and Salesian month. But the most intense moments are now:
On Thursday 23 May, the Eve of the Feast, six Masses are scheduled (7, 8, 9, 10, 18 and 24), an afternoon Rosary, the First Vespers of the feast and a Marian vigil with penitential liturgy in the evening. In addition, the Basilica remains open all night for worship for anyone who wishes to do so.
On Friday, 24 May seven Masses are scheduled (7, 8, 9:30, 11, 17, 18:30 and after the procession); and in the afternoon the blessing of young people will also be offered then Second Vespers of the feast.
In particular, the 11:00 Masses, presided over by Archbishop Roberto Repole, Archbishop of Turin and Bishop of Susa, and the 6: 30Mass, presided over by the Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr Stefano Martoglio, will be broadcast live on the ANS channel on YouTube. The one in the morning, only in Italian, the one in the afternoon, in five languages (Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese), on the respective ANSCchannel language channels.
The afternoon broadcasts will begin at 5 pm, with interviews and comments from the Valdocco courtyard to prepare for the most significant moments of the festival, and will continue until the evening, with the coverage of the procession through the streets of the neighbourhood, at which Archbishop Repole will preside.
