RMG – 'It’s Chapter Time 28': Video of the Sixth Programmatic Line available online

24 November 2023

(ANS - Rome) - The sixth video in the series "It's time for Chapter 28", in which Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, illustrates the sixth Programmatic Line delivered after the 28th General Chapter: "TOGETHER WITH THE LAY PEOPLE IN THE MISSION AND FORMATION. The charismatic strength offered to us by the laity and the Salesian Family".

In the column "It's Chapter Time", the Rector Major of the Salesians offers a deeper glance at the eight Programmatic Lines, with a special focus on the Shared Mission. In the evocative context of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, the Rector Major shares a message full of meaning and inspiration.

The video opens with the Rector Major emphasizing the importance of the Shared Mission, a fundamental principle deeply rooted in the Salesian charism. A mission that involves not only religious, but also lay people, a communion that extends to the Salesian Family present throughout the world.

The heart of the message is an invitation to live the reality of the Shared Mission with freshness. The mission, says the Rector Major, must embrace all specific vocations, uniting them in the complementarity of Christian life. The goal is to work together for the young, the most vulnerable and discarded families, carrying on Don Bosco's legacy with the heart and dedication that characterized him.

The message concludes with an impassioned plea that no one should put up resistance to this shared mission, for in resistance lies neither the heart nor the will of Don Bosco. Finally, an affectionate greeting to Mary Help of Christians, symbol of protection and guide for all Salesian presences in the world.

The video is available in Italian, Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, on the respective language channels of ANSChannel.
