A total of 24 people took part in the meeting: 18 were from the Provinces of Antilles (ANT), North Argentina (ARN), South Argentina (ARS), Brazil-Belo Horizonte (BBH), Bolivia (BOL), Brazil-Porto Alegre (BPA), Brazil-Campo Grande (BCG), Brazil Recife (BRE), Central America (CAM), Chile (CIL), Colombia-Bogotà (cob), Colombia-Medellin (cob), Ecuador (ECU), Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG), Mexico-Mexico (MEM), Paraguay (PAR), Uruguay (URU) and Venezuela (VEN); 6 members of the Economer General’s office were added, starting with the Economer General of the Salesian Congregation, Salesian Brother Jean Paul Muller.
The program of the day on Wednesday 22nd included an opening Eucharist celebrated by Fr Don Juan Carlos Guerrero Romero, Provincial Economer MEM. Subsequently, Bro. Muller directed the work, reading the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling, as an encouragement to participants to make decisions responsibly and competently, maintaining confidence in themselves and in their mission.
Immediately afterwards, the Economer General presented his team and continued by presenting the current situation at Salesian Headquarters, providing participants with a whole series of useful inputs to encourage reflection and discussion on the different issues and challenges that each Province will have to face in the future.
To complete the first session of work, each Provincial Economer had time to introduce himself, illustrate the fundamental points on which his Province is already working and also indicate the major challenges during this period.
