Fr Á.F. Artime will land in Hyderabad at dawn on Saturday 25. After a suitable time for transportation from the airport and rest, the first public activity of the 10th Successor of Don Bosco will be a Mass with the students and staff of the "Don Bosco" School in Bandalaguda. In the afternoon, he will reach the 'Don Bosco Nava Jeevan' centre for young people at risk near Ramanthapur, where he will be the guest of honour at a large youth gathering.
On Sunday, 26 February, he will first reach the Salesian house in Chiguru, near Vijayawada, where he will preside over the Eucharist. He will then have a moment of dialogue and sharing with the children and young people of the work, also part of the 'Don Bosco Nava Jeevan' complex and dedicated to the care and accompaniment of young people at risk. The celebration will be followed by a visit to the Church of the Assumption, and then, at the Gunadala centre, a meeting with the Salesians and a gathering with the local Salesian Family.
The third day of the visit will begin with a meeting with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Siluvagiri, near Nandigama, and will continue with a gathering with Salesian students at the "Don Bosco" centre in Motinagar. In the afternoon, similar to the previous day, Fr Á.F. Artime will engage in a meeting with the Salesians and a gathering with the local Salesian Family.
The last day of his Animation Visit, the Rector Major will dedicate it to dialogue, discussion and sharing, with moments of spiritual animation with the Provincial and his Council in Hyderabad.
The INH Province was erected in 1992 and is currently led by Fr Thomas Santiagu, who was installed as the Provincial in February last year. The Province currently has 38 works erected in the Indian states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Southern part of Orissa, together with 219 Salesians and 7 novices.
