In the document prepared by the Nation's Secretariat of Worship, the biographical profile of the future saint is also briefly traced, to provide the reasons for this choice. Highlighted is the fact that Zatti came as a migrant to Argentina from Italy; that after recovering from illness he "dedicated his life to God in service to the poor"; that he obtained Argentine citizenship; and that in Viedma - already during his lifetime - his reputation as a "saintly nurse" was well-known, and that he was known as the "relative of the poor."
"His life and commitment to the poor, the sick and the 'peripheries' are an example and model to be imitated to build a just, fraternal and peaceful society, an example and model to be imitated to build a just, fraternal and peaceful society," the Worship Secretariat concluded.
