During the event, indications were given to promote networking on the European continent, to seek a common reflection on the different types of social works and services offered in the provinces. The ultimate purpose of the gathering was to strengthen "the evangelizing proposal for young people at risk", "the charismatic identity of the presences", "the organic culture of the Salesian Educational-Pastoral Project (SEPP)", "common formation" and "the study of the impact of our works on the society."
The path of the Pre-congress provides for the establishment of working groups at a continental level in such a way that a mapping of the social activity that takes place in the territory can be made. This could facilitate, thus an establishment a database and a digital archive that allows the systematization of more relevant data of the environment of Salesian ministries and social services.
This paves the way to use the opportunity that exists for Salesian works to offer solutions to challenges of social education in Europe. Focus thus would be on education to the faith of young people at risk in secular context, and the question of migration and cultural integration.
