In its ordinary meeting of 23 October 2020, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints saw and heard the opinion of the extensive documentation on the life and virtues of the Servant of God Fr Andrej Majcen, a priest of the Congregation of Saint Francis de Sales, and confirmed the validity of the diocesan process. The document is signed by the new Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Msgr. Marcello Semeraro.
The Postulator General, Fr Cameroni, also adds that this “is a great goal, fruit of the work done with passion and competence in the diocesan phase. A special thanks to Fr Snoj and to those who have given their contribution in different times and ways.”
Even the vice-postulator dr. Snoj welcomed the news received and thanked God and all the collaborators who contributed to this result, each according to their part. He continues to invite the whole Salesian Family, and especially the Slovenian, to ardent prayer for the continuation of Fr Majcen's case.
In this way, the diocesan phase of the process comes to a close and all the material is delivered in Rome to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. The Postulator General will now ask the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to appoint a Relator, or Supervisor, who shall be the guide in the preparation of the "Positio", that is, the volume that summarizes the evidence collected in the diocese; it is the so-called Roman phase of the process.
