In the multiplicity of Salesian sites, that of ISS-ACSSA is characterized not only by news and useful links that may be of interest inside and outside the Congregation and the Salesian Family (events, conferences, seminars, publications ...), but also by the reliability and security of content offered. It contains Salesian "sources" in fully reliable critical editions, scientific "studies" that are up to date and "bibliographical references".
Historiography is constantly evolving and the Salesian Family needs to review and reflect on its history not on the "quicksand" of traditions, anecdotes or memories, but on the basis of new methods of work, new potential interpretations of the past, and new hermeneutical guidelines.
In organizing the site a lot of attention was given to facilitating both the simple reading of the pages and the ability to download them. At present there are already various volumes of the ISS and ACSSA series, and the complete series (apart from the year 2015) of "Salesian Historical Research” (13,000 pages).
From today on, a vast cultural heritage is now available to all under the protection of Mary Help of Christians at: http://iss.sdb.org
