Rwanda – Celebration of St Luigi Versiglia and St Callisto Caravario
Butare, Rwanda - February 25, 2020 - At the Rango novitiate, in the city of Butare, a feast was held in honor of the patron saints St Luigi Versiglia and St Callisto Caravario. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Fr Raymond Bavumiragiye, Vicar of the Salesian Vice Province of Africa Great Lakes (AGL). In the homily, the Salesian underlined how the first two Salesian martyrs are for everyone an example of faith, fraternal love, perseverance, Salesian pastoral charity and trust in God. Their death is a testimony of the love of God who asks us to love brothers up to the gift of their own lives.
