East Timor - Fr Filiberto González visits post-novitiate
Dili, East Timor - November 2019 - On 25 November, on the occasion of the commemoration of the deceased relatives of the Salesians in memory of Mamma Margaret, Fr Filiberto González Plasencia, General Councilor for Social Communication, celebrated Mass in the chapel of the post-novitiate community “Blessed Artemide Zatti”, of Comoro-Dili. The Councilor shared his reflections on the main benefactors in the Salesian Congregation, that is, the parents of the Salesians, who offered the most precious they had, their children, for the announcement of the Kingdom of God and the service for the salvation of the souls of young people, especially the poorest. Fr González also shared some experiences on how to communicate with young people and with the elderly, respecting and in agreement with the Salesian vocation and identity. Finally, the Councilor pointed out that Don Bosco was a holy educator, evangelizer and communicator of God's love to young people and invited the Salesians to be communicators of the joy of the Gospel in the Salesian Congregation, with "Transparency, Authenticity and Responsibility."
