Papua New Guinea - Perpetual Profession of a Salesian missionary
Boroko East, Papua New Guinea - July 2019 - On 6 July, Salesian missionary Peter Nguyen Hoai Van made his Perpetual Profession in the shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Boroko East. After the postnovitiate he presented his availability to be a missionary ad gentes, ad exteros, ad vitam to the Rector Major. Of Vietnamese origins, he was sent during the 145th missionary expedition (2014) to the Vice Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. After a year of studying the English language, he worked in Tetere, Solomon Islands and Rapollo, Papua New Guinea. Today he attends the second year of Theology at the "Don Bosco Center of Studies" in Parañaque, Philippines.
