Papua New Guinea - Second meeting of Melanesian Salesians
Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea - July 2019 - At the headquarters of the Salesian Vice Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS), the "Second Meeting of Melanesian Salesians" took place, an annual event organized to accompany the inculturation of the charism of Don Bosco in the Melanesian context. From 7 to 9 July the native Salesians discussed and reflected on what are the elements of the culture to be promoted and which are to be purified, perfected or omitted. The important fruit of this meeting is the profile of the Melanesian Salesian, elaborated by the participants themselves, which is profoundly Melanesian and deeply Salesian.
