Paraguay - Students of "Carlos Pfannl" Agricultural Institute plant 600 trees
Coronel Oviedo, Paraguay - June 2019 - On the occasion of World Environment Day 2019, celebrated globally on June 5, and as part of the "Do not suffocate our future" campaign organized by the "Don Bosco Green Alliance", the students of the third year of the Salesian Agricultural Institute "Carlos Pfannl" of Coronel Oviedo planted 600 plants of "tajy sa'yju", a typical tree of Paraguay, in heir city. The young people were accompanied by agronomist engineers and teachers from the institute and by other members of the Oventense Civil Environmental Organization. The students announced that this is only the beginning of their support for the environment of Coronel Oviedo and invited all educational institutions, especially the Salesian ones, to give priority to ecological projects.
