Hungary - Provincial Chapter concluded
Péliföldszentkereszt, Hungary - February 2019 - On February 22, the 11th Provincial Chapter of Salesians of Hungary (UNG) ended, during which the events and processes of the Province were discussed and contributions to the General Chapter 28 were formulated. According to the Provincial Chapter, the Salesians affirm that the UNG Province is aiming at an ever more intense collaboration with the Salesian Family in order to offer young people a more effective accompaniment. The capitulars were also able to visit the places of the roots of the UNG Province going to the tomb of Fr Károly Zafféry, the first Hungarian Salesian in Nyergesújfalu, and visiting Fr István Halász, the oldest member of the UNG Province. Also present at the Provincial Chapter was the former Provincial, Fr József Havasi, SDB, 90 years, refounder of the UNG Province after socialism.
