Ireland – Rector Major visits Dublin
Dublin, Ireland - February 2019 - On the afternoon of 15 February, Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime visited the city center of Dublin where the Salesian community lives and works with "Don Bosco Care", "The Crinan Project" and manages the parish which has many connections with the local youth clubs. In the school hall a number of youth groups presented their talents, sharing moments of happiness. The Rector Major then went to the "Don Bosco Care", where he met the staff and some past pupils who gather every weekend to play soccer. It was a very short but significant moment. The evening was dedicated to the Salesian Family. Thanks to the courtesy of Joseph Davy and his team, the Salesian Family and the Salesian friends were able to meet the Rector Major and share Irish culture with him, through traditional music and dance. Once again it was a moment of great joy and celebration. With this event the visit of the Rector Major to the Province of Ireland concluded.
