Madrid, Spain - November 2018 - The Provincial Chapter (CI 19) of the "St James Major" Province (SSM) took place from 16 to 18 November, with the participation of 122 capitulars, or chapter members, and about twenty guests as observers. During his initial speech, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, SSM Provincial and president of the CI, encouraged the Capitulars to embark on "an outgoing and outreaching Church experience". Subsequently, Fr Stefano Martoglio, Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, affirmed that the CI presents itself as an opportunity to "discern the signs of the times and decide the answers." The CI Regulator, Fr Fernando García Sánchez, presented some guidelines on the development of the CI and underlined that the listening process is even more important than the final result. Fr Pérez Godoy also presented his informative report on the state of the SSM Province. The second part of the CI is scheduled from 28 to 31 March 2019.
