United States - Meeting of Salesian lay missionaries
Haverstraw, United States - September 2018 - From 7 to 9 September, the Salesian Mission in New Rochelle organized the gathering of lay missionaries of the "Salesian Lay Missioners" program (SLM) who have lent their work to various parts of the world for the past 35 years. During the event, with its 35 participants, Fr Tomhas Dunne spoke and underlined the positive impact of lay missionaries in and across the world. Since the SLM program was established in 1983, over 800 men and women have chosen to work in Salesian missions worldwide.
