Slovenia - Salesian Spiritual Exercises for Families
Veržej, Slovenia - 25 February 2018 - An initiative begun 5 years ago as a concrete result of the pilgrimage of the Don Bosco relics in Slovenia: a team of Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Cooperators and young animators, under the guidance of the Salesian Youth Ministry, each year prepares three or four weekends of Spiritual Exercises for families. Again this year, the first round (23-25 February) took place in the Salesian house in Veržej where 22 families gathered for a total of 120 participants. The theme prepared for parents and children was the sacrament of baptism, divided into three parts: "Called by name"; "An indelible sign"; "The mission". Families welcomed and much-appreciated the initiative, which allowed them to spend a weekend in the spirituality of Don Bosco and in mutual communion.
