Germany - Sannerz Salesians study aid projects for refugees in Sicily
Sannerz – The Salesian Don Bosco community of Sinntal-Sannerz, Germany, has studied three humanitarian projects (Catania, San Gregorio and Palermo), an analysis of the assistance to refugees arriving on Italian coasts.
First, a visit to the "metaCometa" organization, which works on finding a safe place for children who have lost their parents while crossing the Mediterranean.
Next, the project of the Don Bosco Salesians in San Gregorio who provide medicine and psychological help to minors.
Thirdly, in Palermo, where the main task of the Salesians of "Santa Chiara" is to assist and accompany second and third generation of refugee families, an issue Germany is sure to face in forthcoming years.
