Thap Christ, Thailand - July 2017 - At Thap Christ, a small village in the Surat Thani district, the festival of the local Salesian parish dedicated to Mary Help of Christians was held at the end of July. As per tradition, the day before the festival is dedicated to thanking Mary and the Salesian community, why the locals farmers homaged the Virgin with their produce. The Inspector of Thailand, Fr John Bosco Thepharat Piitsant, presided over the Eucharist. On the following day, Salesian Bishop Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil officiated the solemn Eucharist.
