South Africa - Priestly ordination of Salesian Chris Sharpe
Port Elizabeth, South Africa - July 2017 - On July 15 at the parish dedicated to "San Giuseppe Lavoratore", Msgr. Vincent Mduduzi Zungu, OFM, bishop of Port Elizabeth, ordained Salesian Chris Sharpe priest. During the preparations for ordination, Salesian Co-Assistant Clarence Watts and Cleric Xolile Gatata, SDB, organized a celebration for young people in Port Elizabeth to spread the Salesian charism and the figure of Don Bosco. Although there is no Salesian work in the city, it has already given two vocations to the Congregation: Watts and the new priest, Fr Sharpe.
