Peru - The Piura River floods Don Bosco College

29 March 2017

Piura, Peru - 28 March 2017 - Despite the efforts of the workers and parents, who have tried to salvage everything, the Piura River has flooded Don Bosco College. The water reached a level of 1.50 and 1.70 meters. The Rector, Fr Angelo Carbajal says: "We lost the entire ground floor ... classrooms, multimedia equipment, sports, store rooms, maintenance shops, library, staff room, administrative offices and pastoral centre".  "Fundación Don Bosco", with help from "Misiones Salesianas" in Madrid and "Don Bosco Mission" in Bonn, has set up three water pumps in Don Bosco College to try to limit the damage.
