Guatemala – UNHCR Volunteers meet the Youth of Petén
Petén, Guatemala – February 2017 – Two volunteers, Sandro Cacciapuoti and Paige Jonnines, of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) that works for the rights of migrants, requested a meeting with the youth of Petén to get acquainted with their situation and talk about the opportunities of working for peace. The volunteers selected the youth of the parish of San Benito, which is run by the Salesians, because of the activities implemented in favour of the house of the migrant, as a sign of the esteem the Salesian Youth Ministry enjoys both at a religious and an institutional level.
