Panama - Celebrations in honour of Don Bosco
Panama City, Panama - January 2017 - The novena in honour of St John Bosco began on 22 January. It culminated with the celebrations on 31 January in the Don Bosco Basilica, with several Masses presided over by Fr Ángel Prado, Salesian Provincial of Central America ( CAM), Archbishop Andrés Carrascosa Coso, Apostolic Nuncio to Panama, and Metropolitan Archbishop José Domingo Ulloa of Panama. All during the novena parish groups participated in various activities in the courtyard of the Basilica. The festivities concluded with the Don Bosco procession through the streets of the city, which was attended by thousands of faithful, and the concluding Mass presided over by Cardinal José Luis Lacunza, Bishop of David, and concelebrated by Fr Miguel Giorgio, Director and Parish Priest of the Don Bosco Basilica.
