Tiruvallur, India – March 2025 – Don Bosco - Pannur Mission inaugurated the "Don Bosco Youth Centre" (DBYC) with a grand volleyball tournament on March 30, marking a milestone in youth engagement and community building.

The event attracted 30 teams from Tamil Nadu and over a thousand participants, including players and spectators, fostering an atmosphere of enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Winners and outstanding players were honored with cash prizes and trophies, recognizing their talent and dedication. The success of the tournament was made possible by the support of sponsors, past pupils, local leaders, and educators.

Among the distinguished guests, Mr. Nandha Kumar, former ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) and a Salesian past pupil, and Fr. John Christy SDB, Provincial Councillor of Chennai (INM), delivered inspiring messages to encourage young people. Additionally, a new initiative, the "Green Paradise Club," was launched to promote environmental responsibility through tree planting.

The day ended with celebrations for the winners of the volleyball tournament and other indoor games. The event embodied Don Bosco's vision of empowering young people through sports, leadership, and community spirit, paving the way for future initiatives at DBYC Pannur.
