Croatia - Salesian Family Day in Croatia

01 April 2025

Zagreb, Croatia – March 2025 – On Saturday, March 22, Zagreb hosted the Salesian Family Day, bringing together approximately 170 participants from five different groups of the Salesian Family: the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Cooperators, the Association of Mary Help of Christians, and Past Pupils, along with supporters from various parts of Croatia, Žepče (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and Subotica (Serbia).

The event aimed to strengthen communion within the Salesian Family in the St. John Bosco Province of Croatia. The morning session featured a presentation by Fr. Danijel Dragičević on the 2025 Strenna. This was followed by a panel of young people who had attended the Salesian Youth Synod in Turin last year, sharing their experiences and dreams for the Salesian Family.

Participants then engaged in group discussions on how to better live the Salesian charism in daily life. The afternoon included a communal lunch, testimonies from various Salesian Family groups, and a summary of the group discussions, which will guide future reflections for the province. The event concluded with the Eucharist at the Mater Libertatis Shrine, presided over by Fr. Branko Bendra, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family.
