Brazil - Salesian High School Salvador Celebrates 125 Years of Transforming the Lives of Thousands of Young People

Salvador, Brazil – March 2025 – On March 11, Salesian High School Salvador celebrated a historic milestone: 125 years of commitment to education and human development. The celebration gathered the educational community, alumni, and current students for a special Mass, presided over by Fr. Ilmário Pinheiro, Director General of Salesianos Bahia, with participation from Fr. Maurício Lima, Rector of Dom Bosco Camaçari, and Fr. Enéas Araújo, Pastoral Coordinator of Salesian High School Salvador.

The Mass was a moment of deep reflection and gratitude. In his homily, Fr. Ilmário Pinheiro emphasized the importance of continuing Don Bosco’s mission and the legacy the high school has built over more than a century. Graça Macêdo, the school’s Educational Coordinator, also highlighted the crucial role of the institution in shaping generations and the responsibility to keep this legacy alive.

A special moment during the ceremony featured a moving performance by the Salesian Arts and Culture Department (DACS), which honored Don Bosco and Mary Help of Christians through dance.
