Mexico – Congress of the Salesian Cooperators of Southern Mexico
Coacalco, Mexico – March 2025 – The Salesian Cooperators' Provincial Congress of the Southern Mexico Province was held at the Salesian Youth School in Coacalco, State of Mexico.
During the congress, the participants reviewed and updated the Provincial SSCC Directory, and each councilor presented their work plan, aiming to consolidate a manual outlining the roles and responsibilities of each council.
A key decision was to schedule the next Elective Provincial Congress for June 2026. The event concluded with the promise ceremony of two new Salesian Cooperators from the Madre Antonieta Böhm Center, during a closing Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Carlos Barbosa, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Mexico City (MEM).

Sr. Adriana Dávila, Provincial Delegate of Southern Mexico, alongside Sr. Refugio Colin, Sr. Ana María Pedraza, and Sr. Trinidad Trejo, delegates from three local centers. Juanita Silva, regional formation leader. Fr. Marco Antonio Gutiérrez Loyola, Vice Rector of the Salesian College of Youth.
The congress also featured virtual contributions from:
Fr. Juan Aaron Cerezo Huerta, the new Provincial of MEM. Martín Calderón, World SSCC Counselor for the region. Verónica Rodríguez, Regional Youth Ministry and Family Coordinator, who sent a video message.
In total, 48 people from 15 local centers participated in this enriching gathering.
