Vatican – Hundreds Gather in St. Peter’s Square to Pray for Pope Francis
Vatican City – February 2025 – On the evening of Monday, February 24, hundreds of young people, faithful, priests, nuns, cardinals residing in Rome, heads of Dicasteries, and members of the Roman Curia gathered in St. Peter’s Square for the recitation of the Rosary, led by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin. He invited everyone to pray for Pope Francis’ recovery so that he may soon return to his people. Among the attendees were around thirty cardinals, including Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, the Tenth Successor of Don Bosco. Together with the large crowd of faithful, they prayed while facing the white stage where the Pope usually presides over Masses and Wednesday audiences. On this occasion, the icon of Mary, Health of the Sick was displayed, and Cardinal Parolin entrusted Pope Francis to her care.
