Argentina – February 2025 – On February 15, the Salesian Family Spirituality Day for the Northern Argentina Province (ARN) was celebrated virtually, fostering a spirit of community and reflection. The event opened with a message from Fr. Carlos Romero, Vice Provincial of ARN, who emphasized the importance of fraternity and the opportunity to live the day as a true Salesian Family. In the morning, members of the Salesian Family in ARN gathered to pray and reflect on the 2025 Strenna:"Anchored in Hope, Pilgrims with the Young." Through sessions of dialogues and group discussions, over 50 participants explored the meaning of hope in their daily mission with young people. The afternoon session focused on a historical milestone: the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first Salesian missionaries in Argentina. Pamela Alarcón, head of the Salesian Historical Archive of the Southern Argentina Province, presented an informative session on the development of the Salesian mission in Patagonia at the end of the 19th century. She highlighted the Salesians’ invaluable contributions to education, social support, and the protection of the most vulnerable people of that time.To conclude the event, Fr. Roberto Camusso, Delegate for the Salesian Family, introduced the various groups that form the Salesian Family in the Northern Argentina Province. The day ended with a communal prayer, reinforcing the commitment to continue walking alongside young people, anchored in hope.
